Probate is the orderly disposition of assets, using the Court's services, so that assets are collected and sold as necessary, creditors are paid, and property is distributed to the heirs as the Decedent requested.

After the death of a loved one, probate can seem like a daunting task. We can reduce your stress by handling all aspects of the probate for you. We can help you manage every part of the probate. We will also be by your side the entire way.

Unlike with some states, Washington's probate process is, generally, relatively painless. When estates are solvent, Washington probate law allows Personal Representatives to settle estates without intervention of the courts. That is not to say that all probates are easy. Often times probates become more complicated due to issues created by taxes, insurance, and real estate.  It's important to have experienced counsel help through this process, so that you have help distinguishing what things the Court requires, whether or not you need help with estate taxes, and other ongoing management of the Estate.

We work hard with personal representatives to ensure that every part of the decedent’s estate is settled correctly. We often help to collect insurance proceeds, clear up real estate titles, set up tax identification numbers, and assist with the process of transferring financial accounts. We also help to manage with communication between personal representatives and other heirs and beneficiaries.
